Active voting right for foreigners, lowering the age for voting to 16 years, and a time limit on the terms of office of members of the Government will be put to the vote.

On 7 June 2015, voters in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will be called on to vote in a referendum on three issues: optional voting right for residents without Luxembourg nationality, a time limit on the terms of office of members of government and optional voting right for Luxembourgers from the age of 16 years.

Filip Markiewicz in Venice

The artist will be representing the Grand Duchy at the 2015 Biennale.

Between his ephemeral rock project Raftside and his large-format drawings in pencil and charcoal, Luxembourger Filip Markiewicz (of Polish origin) has managed to create his own space in the contemporary art world in the Grand Duchy, and further afield. This year, as a kind of provisional crowning of his career, pending its continuation, he will be representing the Grand Duchy at the 56th Venice Biennale.
