The sector of information and communications technologies (ICT) in Luxembourg definitely has the wind in its sails: not only that the country hosts the headquarters of world famous companies, but recent initiatives by the government and economic actors, such as Digital Lëtzebuerg, aim to further promote development of the sector. In this context, a group of actors including the Federation of integrators, the House of Training, the Higher Institute of Economy and the Competence Centre Construction Engineering (Centre de compétences génie technique du bâtiment) embarked on the creation of the Competence Centre Information and Communication Technologies (Centre de compétences Information and Communication Technologies, CdC ICT).

Every two years since 2004, the Edward Steichen Award Luxembourg Association awards the Edward Steichen Award Luxembourg to a young artist of the Greater Region who shows promise in the field of contemporary art. A reward of a certain importance, because the prize includes a six month participation in the famous ISPC programme (International Studio and Curatorial Programme) in New York. On 20 November 2015, the Minister of Education, Children and Youth presented the project 'Bee Creative' and the first six makerspaces in Luxembourg. The 'Bee Creative'-project aims to prepare children and youths for the challenges of digital Luxembourg. Implemented in formal and non-formal education, it brings children and young people to use new media techniques and tools to create, learn, discover, develop projects ('digital literacy').

On invitation of the Film Fund Luxembourg, the sector of audiovisual production met on 10 and 11 November to participate in the second 'Congress of the Luxembourg cinema'. This congress is being organised to analyse the opportunities and challenges facing the audiovisual production sector. Until 2020, 800 public charging terminals for cars powered by an electric motor and for hybrid cars with rechargable batteries ('plug-in' hybrid cars) should be set up. 400 terminals are going to be installed throughout the national territory on Park+Ride parking lots, the rest at municipal parking lots and public parking spaces. Each terminal is equipped with two charging points. Thus, a total of 1,600 parking spaces are going to be dedicated to the charging of cars.
