The 'Zeltik' enthralls the public on 11 and 12 March 2016

The sounds of Celtic music float over Dudelange

12-zeltik-danceperados_sLuxembourg echoes to the song of the bagpipes and Celtic tunes! It's the Zeltik, a yearly ancestral music festival, which attracts thousands of spectators every year!

The 'Zeltic' festival or 'Celtic Celebration', which takes place every year at the beginning of March, during one weekend, mixes ancient Celtic music with new sounds. Over the years, the festival has been the venue for the greatest stars of the genre, like Carlo Nunez, Capercaillie, the Waterboys or The Levellers.

This year, the festival starts, as usual, with a more classical concert, which takes place in the St. Martin church in Dudelange, a concert which features the Berlin Pipe Company, accompanied on the organ by Erik Hoeppe. Owners of a Saturday ticket may visit this concert free of charge.

On Saturday evening, the following groups are notably on the programme on the two stages at the Lycée technique Nic. Biever sports hall, in the heart of the Italian quarter in Dudelange:

The festival, which attracts thousands of viewers every year, has become the biggest Celtic event in Luxembourg and in the Greater Region.
