On Saturday 4 June and on Sunday 5 June 2016 the third edition of the Weekend of Open Churches (Weekend des Églises Ouvertes) is going to take place throughout the whole country. The aim of these two days is to draw the attention of the public to Luxembourg's churches and chapels and to present them as open and welcoming spaces which are worth a visit, because they reflect our cultural and religious heritage.
More than 60 churches, chapels and places of worship open their doors this weekend in order to welcome the public and let it discover the buildings under a different light. For the first time there are two neo-apostolic and two protestant churches among the places of worship.
The programme of the churches includes guided tours and exhibitions, as well as concerts in a solemn setting. Certain buildings accessible on that occasion are not open to the public throughout the year - so it's the occasion to discover a heritage.
