The weekend of 16 and 17 July 2016 will see the 23rd edition of the International Festival of the Comic Strip in Contern. The Festival, held each year since 1994, offers about a hundred stalls selling new and second-hand comic-strip books, original drawings, posters, figurines and everything to do with comic-strip books.
During the two days of the Festival, fans of the comic-strip genre also have the opportunity to meet many national and international authors and to have their books dedicated.
More than 10,000 visitors are expected.
The festival also offers a huge programme of events in the streets of Contern: an exhibition of original drawings, concerts, a rally, street animation, readings, signings and games for children.
The festival will be open on both days from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The village will be closed to traffic, but there will be free parking and a shuttle service. Using public transport is recommended! Entrance costs 3 euros; it is free for children under 12 years old. Over the past few years, the festival has kept growing; it currently attracts more than 10,000 visitors.
