The objective of the Jugendpräis (Youth Prize) is to offer a promotion platform for youth-related projects and to raise awareness to youth work in Luxembourg.
As organiser, the SNJ has just invited all young people with innovative projects to submit them until 15 February. The projects are going to respect certain formal criteria. They must for example have been implemented over the recent years, have involved or affected young people between 13 and 30 years old and have had an impact on local, regional or national communities.
The call for applications covers 6 categories: 'Neie Wand' - Projects implemented by recently formed groups, 'Erasmus+' - Erasmus+ projects cofinanced in Luxembourg between 2014 and 2016, 'Oldies but goldies' - Projects financed by one the programmes preceding Erasmus+, 'Krea(k)tiounen' - Projects promoting the creative expression of young people, 'Sozial responsabel' - Projects on the theme of solidarity or calling for civil responsibility, 'Schutzengel' - Projects of all types linked to prevention.
In assessing their analysis, the jury takes into account the criteria of relevance of the project, its impact, its innovative character and the degree of involvement of young people.
The laureates are going to be announced at the award ceremony on 18 May at the Forum Geesseknäppchen during a gala dinner. The winners will be rewarded with a check for 1,000 euros.(Article written by the editorial team of the portal luxembourg.lu)
