Explanation regarding the #LetzGoCycling contest
This is the first activity aimed at promoting the Grand Duchy and its relationship with cycling. The #LetzGoCycling contest, which lasts until 7 June 2017, invites you to take a photo of yourself on a bike in one of your favourite places in the Grand Duchy and upload it to the dedicated website at letzgocycling.lu.
This is one way of generating inspiring pictures which showcase the diversity of the inhabitants and the landscapes of the Grand Duchy in a pleasant and, most of all, unusual context.
The most popular photos, i.e. those that attract most votes (including likes on Facebook), will be able to win various prizes: a racing bike (1st prize), helmets (2nd and 3rd prizes) and jerseys, all in the LuXembourg design.
The winners will be announced on 3 July 2017, when the Tour de France cycle race passes through the Grand Duchy.
The photo studio set up specially on the Place d'Armes over the Easter weekend next to the 'Luxembourg- Let’s make it happen' chalet attracted a lot of interest.
Explore Luxembourg: photos of people on bikes, and giant letters as well
The Grand Duchy's tourist activities (called Explore Luxembourg) offer plenty of great opportunities to experience the LuXembourg brand, with huge lettering (14 metres long) - firstly 'wrapped up' to keep things a surprise, then 'unwrapped' on the Place d'Armes on 14 April 2017 to mark the start of the tourist season - it will now travel all over the Grand Duchy.
It will sit on the Kinnekswiss in Luxembourg City until mid-June, after which it is going to travel along the Moselle. On 3 July it will be in the north when the Tour de France cycle race passes through.
