Museumsmile or the initiative of the consortium 'd'stater muséen'
The weekend of museums was launched by the organisation 'd'stater muséen' (Luxembourg City museums) in 1997 and today covers more than 40 museums throughout the country. The event is organised each year in spring.
The Grand Duchy has numerous museums each specialised in different fields such as history, nature, archeology or contemporary art. In other words, friends of culture may take advantage of an exceptional museum heritage!
For the time of the weekend, each participating museum, offers its own family friendly cultural programme with among others, guided tours, performances, meetings, conferences, concerts, tastings and entertainment for children.
It only remains for us to wish you great and inspiring visits!
