ESCHER KULTURLAF - RUNNING IN GOOD COMPANY

2 September  | from 4 p.m. | Esch-sur-Alzette | from 10 euros

ON YOUR OWN, WITH FRIENDS, FOR FAMILIES

The 11th edition of the Kulturlaf will take place this Saturday in Esch-sur-Alzette! There will be more than a hundred musicians encouraging the runners on the different routes (10 miles, 10 km and 5 km). The best participant in fancy dress will win the 'Kulturlaf Oscar'. A 'Yuppi Mini-Laf' with activities for kids will start at 4 p.m.

OPEN AIR CINEMA – SONG FROM THE FOREST

ON YOUR OWN, WITH FRIENDS, FOR FAMILIES

To mark the end of the 'Discover RESPECT ADAPT' exhibition, the Follereau Foundation is organising an open-air cinema screening at Fond de Gras, showing the film 'Song from the Forest', a documentary (in German, with English sub-titles) by Michael Obert that tells the story of an American expat in the tropical forest of Central Africa.

PILLOW FIGHT

It's time to get you pillows out - to support a good cause! There will be an enormous pillow fight in the centre of Luxembourg City this Saturday! Come and support Parkinson's sufferers in their fight against the disease. Drinks and barbecue food will be available, along with music and activities.

FOUERSONNDEG AND SELL-OUT

3 and 4 September | 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. | Luxembourg City | Free entrance

ON YOUR OWN, WITH FRIENDS, FOR FAMILIES

Bargain hunters will want to be at the 'Fouersonndeg' on Sunday, 3 September and at the big sell-out on Monday, 4 September, with stands and a great atmosphere in the city centre and the area around the railway station. And for a change of ideas after all that shopping, treat yourself to an ice-cream and a ride at the Schueberfouer.

SCHWÉIDSBENGER WÄIFESCHT – WINE FESTIVAL IN SCHWEBSINGEN

3 September | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Schwebsingen | Free

On the first Sunday in September each year, the inhabitants of Schwebsingen invite everyone to their traditional wine festival. Local producers will be offering Luxembourgish specialities, including wines, crémants and cheeses.

KRAIDERKICHEN AM ALE ROUM – ROMAN GARDEN

3 September | 10 a.m to 4 p.m. | Echternach | Free

The villa in Echternach offers a glimpse into the everyday life of a Gallo-Roman family and shows the importance Romans placed on a well-kept and well laid-out decorative garden. Guided visit of the garden, followed by a herb and vegetable tasting, to discover the villa's garden and its ornamental plants, medicinal herbs, kitchen herbs and vegetables with all your senses.
