Within one year, the Luxembourg Signature and the values it embodies have taken their place in the country's communication. During a conference entitled 'Inspiring Luxembourg', which takes place on Thursday 26 October 2017, the Secretary of State of the Economy, Francine Closener, presents an assessment as well as the future deployment of the 'Nation Branding' strategy. Two internationally known experts, Robert Govers and Martin Boisen, give deep insights into what 'Nation Branding' represents and, most of all, what it is not: territorial marketing.
Robert Govers, who teaches at the University of Turin, is chairman of the International Place Branding Association, Managing Research Partner for the Good Country Index, as well as editor of the Journal of Place Branding and Public Diplomacy. Martin Boisen is a lecturer for geography and urban studies at the University of Groningen and vice-president of the International Place Branding Association.
The conference, which is open to the public, starts at 7 p.m. at the Luxexpo The Box venue, 10, circuit de la Foire internationale, L-1347 Luxembourg-Kirchberg. The language used will be Luxembourgish and, to a minor degree, English. A simultaneous translation into French and English is provided.
Everyone who is interested to join the event can register at the following address: www.conference-inspiringluxembourg.lu. Participation is free of charge. The number of available seats is limited.
