Conference: The third industrial revolution in Luxembourg

On Thursday 9 November 2017, the Minister of the Economy invited you to a presentation of progress made in the works carried out one year after the Rifkin study at the public conference 'La transition se poursuit' (Transition continues).
06-rifkinTogether with myenergy, the Minister of the Economy invited you to a conference held on Thursday 9 November 2017 in order to present the progress made in the works carried out since the official presentation of the Rifkin study one year ago and to discuss the challenges that will present themselves in the future. As part of the process launched in partnership with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and IMS Luxembourg, the conference started at 8.30 at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. At the event, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Étienne Schneider carried out an interim review of the works started in connection with the Rifkin strategic study on the 'Third industrial revolution'.

The conference programme

In cooperation with 'Jonk Entrepreneuren Lëtzebuerg', an intergenerational exchange also took place and enabled young people to present their ideas for the future and ask the government members present questions. Next, a political discussion panel on the theme of qualitative growth brought together ministers Étienne Schneider, Carole Dieschbourg, François Bausch, Pierre Gramegna and Nicolas Schmit as well as high representatives of professional chambers.


The conference ended at around 12.15 and was followed by a reception with wine. The speeches were given in Luxembourgish with simultaneous translation into English and French. The event was open to the general public. Participation was free of charge.
