Dutch photographer Esther Hovers and Luxembourgish artist Daniel Wagener are the winners of the 2017 Edward Steichen Award. This biennial Award is named after the Luxembourgish photographer; it supports emerging European artists active in the field of contemporary art. The winners will be able to travel to New York under the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP).
"Health at a Glance 2017" is a 226-page report containing several new indicators, especially relating to risk factors for health. The one area where Luxembourg particularly stands out is its health insurance system.

The Edward Steichen Award will be presented this Friday 10 November at the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean - MUDAM (Luxembourg Museum of Modern Art). During this ceremony, two prizewinners will be given the opportunity to work in the cultural environment of New York for a period of six or four months respectively. The two young artists will be hosted at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP), the first contemporary art centre based in the United States for artists and curators.
