Luxembourg in international institutions

Ever since the end of the Second World War, Luxembourg has advocated international cooperation, considered the best measure to guarantee its sovereignty and development. Over the years, it has become a member — often a founding member — of many international organisations and institutions.

Its location makes the Grand Duchy is a country where influences of many people interact. Therefore it is often perceived as a privileged partner of institutions.

It readily takes on the role of negotiator and defender of legal texts and treaties.
